A warrior with the pseudonym "Cook". From his desk to the war

- "I have an interesting historical call sign - 'Kuk' - the name of the once well-known leader of the national liberation movement, who continued the work of Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych. "He was in the underground and fought against 'Bolshevism,'" says the chief sergeant of a company of the Dnipro Separate Battalion of the TRO Forces.
- "Although I am not originally from western Ukraine, I have been interested in the historical events that have taken place in our country over the past 200-300 years since school. I can tell you that we have an eternal and sworn enemy - the Russians. That is why I am here, at the front, and will do everything in my power.
The guy decided to join the territorial defense when he was 17. The recruitment center did not accept him. So he went to the front on his own and studied army affairs there.
- At first, the command did not want to let me go anywhere, but as soon as I turned 18, I immediately volunteered for combat missions because I had been waiting for it for a long time. My first combat mission, my first baptism of fire and my first injury were in Donetsk region, namely in Velyka Novosilka. The task of our unit was to prevent the enemy from breaking through the settlement and inflict maximum losses on them. During those battles, I experienced the attacks of enemy aircraft, artillery of various calibers, and tanks. Their soldiers were even entrenched literally on the other side of our house. But we held our ground. During another enemy shelling, a shell hit our house, and I got a concussion and an injury. Then came the evacuation and hospitalization.
Now Cook is at the training ground conducting classes with his subordinates, soldiers and sergeants much older than him, teaching the unexposed soldiers to properly handle weapons and skillfully act on the battlefield.
- "We don't have a senior-junior system in our unit, we have a friendly and motivated team," Cook continues.
- "I try to pay more attention to various trainings, combat training, because a soldier's training saves his life in battle, and this is the most important thing.
